1. Failure is an option here. If things are not failing, you are not innovating enough.

2. When something is important enough, you do it even if the odds are not in your favor.

3. Some people don't like change, but you need to embrace change, if the alternative is disaster.

4. People should pursue what they're passionate about. That will make them happier, than pretty much anything else.

5. For me it was never about money, but solving problems for the future of humanity.

6. Persistence is very important. You should not give up unless you are forced to give up.

7. Most people can learn a lot more than they think they can. They sell themselves short without trying.

8. I think that's the single best piece of advice: constantly think about how you could be doing things better, and questioning yourself.

9. If you get up in the morning, and think the future is going to be better, it is a bright day. Otherwise, it’s not.

10. If you're trying to create a company, it's like baking a cake. You have to have all the ingredients in the right proportion.

11. I read books and talked to people. I mean that's kind of how one learns anything. There's lots of great books out there & lots of smart people.

12. When Henry Ford made cheap, reliable cars people said, 'Nah, what's wrong with a horse?' That was a huge bet he made, and it worked.

13. We have this handy fusion reactor in the sky called the sun, you don't have to do anything, it just works. It shows up every day.

14. The tough thing is figuring out what questions to ask, but once you do that, the rest is really easy.

15. And we need things in life that are exciting and inspiring. It can't just be about solving some awful problem. There have to be reasons to get up in the morning.

16. People work better when they know, what the goal is and why. It is important that people look forward, to coming to work in the morning and enjoy working.
